At redbourn recreation gym you will be given a complete gym introduction where our level 3 personal trainer Oli Spicer will show you how to use all the machinery, discuss what goals you want to achieve and show you how you can begin working towards those goals.

One to one personal training in the gym at Redbourn Recreation Centre, at home or outside using fun and effective techniques such as boxing, TRX training (http://www.trxfitness.co.uk/), kettle bell and medicine ball work. The sessions are always challenging but fun and will be specific to your abilities whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned fitness fanatic!
Nutritional advice :-
I’ll help you make small but very effective changes to your diet, which will help you on your way to achieving your goals. Fad diets are not the way to go when it comes to nutrition; small realistic changes that fall in line with your goals and can fit into your lifestyle are more effective as they can be sustained. Together we can make those small changes and work towards a healthier diet, which in turn will drive you towards your goals. Remember, nutrition is half the battle!

I am the type of person who loves to laugh and has a strong feeling of, if you are paying for something you should at least enjoy it. My passion came when at 17 stone, I decided to lose the weight that was holding me down, and over a period of 12 months I did just that, it was a case of trial and error as I had never really done any serious training before. I know how it feels to walk into a gym and feel like you don’t belong. I want o give people the same feeling of achievement that I have had.

My first love it personal training, this is my job and my passion, but as well as this I also had the change to vary my work from, over 50’s classes, spin classes, circuit training, netball camps as well as special needs group training.
I also give lectures in colleges on the subject of personal training itself.
I enjoy a range of sports including basketball, squash, rollerblading, badminton, swimming.
Martial arts also range quite highly for me. My true passion is my work; I take great pride when a client reaches the goal we have set, it’s a great feeling and it’s this reason I work so hard to make sure you don’t fail.
